October is when we close down the garden and prepare everything for winter. There will be many tasks to complete, such as harvesting the last of the crops, planting cover crops, storing tools and supplies for winter, and probably a few other last-minute needs! A good close-out day means that we can open again next season that much more easily. No experience or tools are needed, though sturdy shoes, a hat, water bottle, and work gloves (if you prefer them) are always recommended!
