Lierman Gardens (1603 E Washington Street, Urbana) is one of our partner community gardens serving the Lierman St. neighborhood. The garden provides green space and gardening space to the residents of nearby apartment buildings. Situated in a food desert, the garden also distributes fresh produce to community members every Saturday.

This weekend, gardener Tommy Askin has asked for some help preparing plots for the year. Solidarity Gardens volunteers will be helping with cultivating and filling raised beds, and may also be helping with raising a fence in part of the garden.

As always, please bring a mask, water bottle, gloves, and clothes that you don't mind getting dirty!
